What to look for
Look for the three-peak mountain snowflake mark, which means the tyre passed a snow test; all-season tyres give up a little summer sharpness for grip below about 7°C.
Models worth comparing
From tyre makers' announcements and published independent tyre tests, read on 9 October 2026. Not tested by us. In no particular order: these are not ranked, and we do not say which is best until the customer ratings are in.
Mid-range
Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6
Drivers who want one set of tyres all year and a well-rated name without paying the top price.
Rated good in ADAC's 2025 all-season test, joint third of 16
Carries the three-peak snowflake mark for winter use
One of only eight tyres in that test ADAC would recommend
Watch out for: It finished just behind the two joint winners, so it is a step down in either braking or wear.
We are gathering the customer ratings this board needs from UK shops. When they are in, the ranked list replaces this guide at the same address, scored the way every board is: star ratings weighed by how many people left them. How we score.
